Kimmie Weeks
Liberian human rights activist Kimmie Weeks has worked to alleviate poverty and suffering in Africa and around the world. After experiencing the horrors of Liberia’s civil war as a child, Weeks has dedicated his life to fighting for the rights of children. He’s led organizations that raise awareness and provide schooling to students in West Africa. Weeks has overcome threats and exile to improve health care and education for former child soldiers. In 2002, he founded the international organization Youth Action International to support the needs of families living in post-war countries.
