Jane Goodall
British primatologist Jane Goodall is a tireless campaigner for conservation and environmental causes around the globe. She spent almost half a century studying wild chimpanzees in Tanzania, where she discovered that chimps have abilities and personalities similar to humans. Her work has moved from the jungle to the classroom as she focuses on educating the next generation about improving the environment for all living things. Goodall's global organization Roots& Shoots has established community-centered conservation and development programs in Africa and around the world.
