Mohamed ElBaradei
This week on Inside Africa…Egyptian politician Mohamed ElBaradei. He's electrified a country that's stagnated under decades of one-party government. Many Egyptians look to Nobel Peace Price Laureate Mohamed ElBaradei as the man who will lead their country into a new era of democracy. Despite their great expectations, ElBaradei, a distinguished former UN official, is more familiar with the decorum of diplomacy than the noisy, chaotic, and sometimes dangerous world of Egyptian politics. As the former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, he took on some of the world's most uncompromising regimes over their nuclear programs. In 2005, ElBaradei and the IAEA were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
