Staff Benda Bilili

Their music and songs come straight from the streets of Kinshasa, but they grown to fine universal fame. Staff Benda Bilili, which consists of mainly disabled performers, was formed in the Democratic Republic of Congo by Ricky Likabu. In this programme he explains how a chance meeting with a French film maker resulted in an award winning documentary, a highly acclaimed album and a world tour.
