This week on Marketplace Africa - we're starting in Liberia, a country recovering from conflict and currently suffering from an 80% unemployment rate. The female population is hit especially hard, since the majority of jobs that do exist, are held by men. So two groups are getting together to give women a hand, by helping use their hands to sew.

And in Face Time, we meet Ajai Chowdhry. He's the co-founder of HCL Infosystems Ltd., which in some ways is like India's version of Microsoft. Like the software giant, HCL was formed out of a garage. But now, the IT company is a global enterprise, with 65,000 employees and plans to expand in Africa.
