IN FOCUS - GROWING AFRICA'S ECONOMIES THROUGH AGRICULTURE

Robyn Curnow reports on one veteran South African businessman who believes the government should be doing more to encourage people back into agriculture.  He believes that the agricultural sector has the ability to grow the country's economy, tackle rising unemployment and empower communities.  He has helped set up one hundred small farms and he is training people on how to work the land.

CNN's David Mckenzie in Kenya sat down with Dr Namanga Ngongi, President of AGRA - the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa.  AGRA is chaired by the former UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon.  The organization is calling on Africa's governments to increase their spending on agriculture so they can grow their economies.
