And despite delays, the region’s airlines are sticking behind large-scale orders to the likes Boeing and Airbus.

In spite of the global slowdown, the Middle East low-cost carriers sector is growing rapidly. In the last couple of years, five new airlines have been launched in the region. Jazeera Airways, the Middle East’s first privately owned airline, is planning a major expansion in the next five years.
