SHOW #16
Bjorn Ulvaeus’ Stockholm
Bjorn Ulvaeus is arguably one of the most successful pop stars of all time. He is, of course, one quarter of the Swedish superstar band ABBA. It's been more than two decades since ABBA disbanded, but the group's music - including hit tunes “Dancing Queen” and “Waterloo” - still reverberates around the world.
Since then, Bjorn has been involved in countless musical projects - including co-producing last summer's blockbuster “Mamma Mia!” and numerous musicals such as “Chess”.
On this month's program, the pop legend takes us on a journey around Stockholm. We see the Swedish capital through Bjorn's eyes - from the city's picturesque Gamla Stan (Old Town) and the Ostermalmshallen Food Hall, to the ship-styled Vasa, Scandinavia's most visited museum.
As we explore the city, Bjorn talks about its vibrant atmosphere as well as showing us the record studio where the first ABBA record was made. Along the way, we discover the city's quaint neighborhoods, stunning waterways, boutique bars and its cultural splendor.
