Quest for Peace

On November's show, CNN's Richard Quest meets the world's peace makers. Global peace is arguably one of the most notable goals of humanity - but what does it entail and why is it so difficult to achieve?   Richard sits down with the politicians: former presidents Jimmy Carter and Mikhail Gorbachev and the lawmaker and victim of apartheid violence, Albie Sachs. We speak to the singer Annie Lennox and the actor Jude Law about their involvement in the organisation Peace One Day.  Richard also travels to one of the world's newest nations Timor-Leste. Whilst there, he interviews the President, Jose Ramos Horta, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient and spends time with the UN peacekeeping troops. We also find out what happens when peace fails from actress and humanitarian Mia Farrow who campaigns vigorously against the conflict in Darfur.
