Alain Robert

Alain Robert, better known as the "French Spiderman", has made his name by risking his life to scale the walls of the world's great monuments and tallest buildings. He generally does so without permission or equipment, and has unsurprisingly racked up a number of arrests and injuries along the way. Despite three serious accidents leaving him comatose twice, 66% disabled and with permanent vertigo, Robert remains committed to his passion. This month, Revealed follows Robert in the run up to his latest climb - from the daily training sessions at his home in the south of France, to Paris' high-rise hub, La Defence, where he is such a regular he is as familiar with the police station as the buildings themselves. Robert's exploits have been well documented, but few have had an insight into the family life he leads in between climbs. Does he have a day job? Does he go to the pub with his friends? Does he cling to some religion to keep him safe? Is he "normal"?
