Road to Durban: A Green City Journey (30 minutes)
Road To Durban: A Green City Journey is new 30-minute monthly show that will explore cities that are making strides in reducing their carbon footprint. CNN will take viewers on a journey beginning in the U.K. and on to Germany, Turkey, Kenya, and South Africa (Durban) for the U.N. Climate Change Conference (COP17) in December. We will then go on to Abu Dhabi after Durban, presenting some of the best ideas that are working toward a greener planet.
We will also monitor the web - from news buzz and blogs to forum discussions and social network activity (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) - to identify environmental trends and happenings in our cities. Audiences are encouraged to send CNN their ideas or examples via ireport where they can post videos of anything people are doing in these cities to improve their environment. No ideas are too small.
