The Screening Room

SHOW #31

Festival Season

Autumn means festival season so Myleene Klass and the Screening Room heads for Canada to bring you the top films from Toronto - regarded by many as the most important stop on the festival circuit after Cannes.

Although it shows 300 films from every continent on the planet, Toronto has gained a reputation as THE place for Hollywood studios to launch the films they hope will contend for Academy recognition. And with the People’s Choice Award the top prize, festival-goers can themselves influence events. Last year they set a little known film called Slumdog Millionaire on its journey to Oscar history.

Some of the highlights include:

George Clooney tells us why he’s been staring at goats.

Megan Fox as a blood-sucking cheerleader and Michael Moore on blood-sucking capitalists.

Comedian Ricky Gervais gives us the truth about his new film “The Invention of Lying”.

And "Bourne Again" - Myleene meets Matt Damon in The Screening Room big interview as he spills the beans on his role as a whistleblower in Steven Soderbergh’s dark comedy “The Informant”.
