GOLF ON THE BAJA COAST
Palmilla, on, Mexico’s Baja peninsula has always been a sought after location. The son of the country’s president had his private residence here just over fifty years ago, and since then it’s been a getaway for the rich and famous… US Presidents have signed the visitors book and John Travolta celebrated his 50th birthday here.
Jack Nicklaus designed the 27 hole golf course and in 2003, Sol Kerzner’s One and Only group snapped up the resort to make it into a truly fabulous golfing destination. Don Riddell has the story.
FEDEX CUP
It was billed PGA as the game’s premier series. The FEDEX Cup offers $10 million into a pension fund to the eventual winner. But both players and spectators have been sceptical about the concept. As it concluded CNN’s Mark Mackay explores the inaugural FedEX Cup and whether it has a future.

He’s one of America’s richest businessmen, better know for making baths engines and generators. But he also owns the famous Old Course Hotel that over looks the Old Course at St Andrews. Kohler has other major investments in golf around the world and this month Living golf profiles the game’s unknown big backer.

Golf in Mexico can get extremely hot so the Palmilla Golf have introduced slightly over-indulgent air conditioners on every drivable buggy but they are incredibly effective.
