Lanzarote

This month on MainSail, we will be in Lanzarote for the first RC 44 event of the season. These boats attract all the top names for a series of fleet and match racing. This class was the brain child of sailing legend Russell Coutts. He'll give us the low down on the design of the boat and why the class has become so popular amongst the sailing elite. Presenter Shirley Robertson, will take one of these racing machines for a spin and talk through what it feels like to helm and sail. Plus she will chat to Dubai based businessman, Chris Bake who owns an RC44 to find out what attracts people to buy into this class. MainSail will also have sailing news updates including the latest from the Vendee Globe and the Volvo Ocean race.
